Runes in Wild Rift

Runes in Wild Rift allow you to customize your champion's strengths, adapting them to specific matchups and playstyles. A full rune page consists of one powerful Keystone and three Minor runes chosen from specialized slots.

Choosing the right combination is critical. Whether you need burst damage from Domination, durability from Resolve, sustained damage from Precision, or utility from Inspiration, understanding every rune is the first step to mastery. Check out our Champions page to see the optimal rune setups for each character.

Keystones

Your Keystone is the most impactful choice, offering powerful effects like healing, bonus damage, or crowd control enhancement. Unlike minor runes, Keystones are not restricted by path, allowing for flexible combinations.

Rune Paths

Each minor rune belongs to a path (Precision, Domination, Resolve, Inspiration). You must select one rune from each "slot" (1, 2, and 3) to complete your build, tailoring your champion's secondary stats.

Adapting to Matchups

Static rune pages are rarely optimal. Swap defensive runes like Bone Plating against burst champions, or take Second Wind against poke lanes. Flexibility in your minor rune choices can win the laning phase before it even begins.
